Knowledge of Natural Medicines has been a great asset of the Islamic Era. The transitional transfer of this valuable knowledge from Islamic Civilization to Europe Civilization, no doubt gave a new approach to this knowledge. This transition made tibbi knowledge “A Heritage” and it needs to be conserved.
In 2001 the Qarshi Foundation undertook a project aimed at reviving the discipline of natural medicine through generating a cadre of talented, knowledgeable, and committed Tabibs to cater to the needs of the masses using modern Tibbi knowledge and Tibbi medicines. Under this project, Foundation sponsored the establishment of the Department of Natural Medicines in different universities of the country for offering a 5-year degree program in Bachelor of Eastern Medicines and Surgery (BEMS), with a syllabus approved by the Higher Education Commission.
Qarshi Foundation sponsored BEMS program in the following Institutions:

Qarshi Foundation also provides a platform for the One Year Compulsory House Job for the pass-outs of the BEMS degree program through its Hospitals, Dispensaries, and QMCHCC.
For the internal process, a complete and verified application is processed for further approvals. A successful applicant receives financial assistance after the verification and M&C check. The mode of verification includes on-spot visits and feedback from the representative of the area or the Imam of a local mosque.

M&C team provides feedback to the MAP team which is an essential criterion for processing the application for final approval. Successful applications are logged in an automated and integrated system of the ERP-MAP module.

Post-financial assistance feedback visits are an essential part of M&C conducted to assess the utilization of funds and further reporting to the Sr. Management of QF.
